Who doesn’t know the days when you try to do everything BUT workout? I for sure do, every now and then. The lack of motivation: It starts in the morning, when usually I would look forward to working my butt off. I literally have to kick myself to put on my workout clothes and just DO IT!
Now this post wouldn’t make much sense if I would just blabber about how we all know the feeling of not wanting to workout. So what can you DO to get in the mood and give your all for your workout?
There are a couple of things that I like to do, it is kind of cheating yourself into your program and before you had a chance to really think about how you don’t want to do it, it is over.
First of all, I like to play the 3 second rule, which means just get up put your workout clothes on without having a single thought. (Because who can really come up with an argument in 3 seconds right?)
Mostly your lack of motivation may lay within your upcoming workout. See, if we do the same routine week after week after week, we get bored and frustrated, which leads to not wanting to do the workout at all. Just know that it is OK to do something different. There are a lot of workout routines that you can do either at home, or outside. See my Quick Abs Routine (more workouts will follow), let me help you, build a new routine or look something up on Youtube. There are great routines on there, with which you can replace your own. Spice it up, change what you don’t like and try something unexpected.
And the last thing I want you to try, just put in some music, relax for one song and then start your workout. Have a protein shake ready for when you are done and put your mind to your happy place!
